The official automotive dealership sector closed 2024 with 163,765 direct jobs, representing a net increase of 2,478 positions compared to the previous year, according to the 2024 Annual Report published by Faconauto.
This growth confirms a positive trend that began in 2023, following a period of stagnation caused by the pandemic and supply chain crisis, and places employment in the sector at its highest level on record.
Since 2013 — when employment hit its lowest point with just over 131,000 workers — the sector has grown by more than 25%, reflecting a steady recovery and the increasing professionalization of the official dealership network.
