Diseños y Montajes Mecánicos S.L. (DIMM) is an Aragonese company whose original activity perfectly matched its commercial name, as since its foundation it has been dedicated to the design and construction of machines and installations for automatic in-line production processes. Standing out in power transmission solutions for production processes and being the only Spanish manufacturer of hydraulic couplings currently on the market—with wide adoption and numerous units in operation—in recent years it has also distinguished itself as a designer, installer, and maintainer of Fogmaker brand high-pressure water mist automatic fire suppression systems for engine compartments in all types of vehicles (passenger cars, racing vehicles, buses and coaches, boats, etc.) and machines used in different sectors such as the chemical industry, waste management and recycling, forestry, mining, port and logistics terminals, airport operations, and agricultural work (tractors, harvesters, and balers), among others.
PRODUCTS
At Diseños y Montajes Mecánicos we have two main lines of business:
• Manufacture of ARAHIDRA hydraulic couplings, which enable smooth starting of electric motors and more efficient power transmission, reducing wear on machine components. DIMM is the only manufacturer of this type of product in Spain. These couplings are especially suitable for conveyor belts, mills, crushers, shredders, etc. We also handle their sale, maintenance, and repair.
• Design, installation, distribution, and maintenance of high-pressure water mist fire suppression systems for the Spanish, Portuguese, and Andorran markets under the FOGMAKER brand (Sweden), a global benchmark in this type of protection system for vehicle and machine engine compartments. FOGMAKER was the first brand to obtain RC 107 certification, required for buses and coaches throughout the EU and adopted by many countries on other continents. We personally install these systems for leading Spanish and Portuguese coachbuilders such as Castrosua, Irizar, Irizar E-mobility, Sunsundegui, Noge, Beulas, Indcar, Ferqui, Caetano, and Irmaos Mota. They are also commonly fitted by default by other prestigious brands such as Mercedes, Iveco, Volvo, Otokar, and VDL.

Technological Capabilities

• Engineering for the design of high-pressure water mist fire suppression system solutions adapted to vehicles/machines according to their needs, such as buses, trucks, loaders, excavators, dumpers, forklifts, reachstackers and empty container handlers, tractors, harvesters, balers, crushers, boats, cranes, conveyor belts, etc. The possibilities are countless thanks to the technology used in suppression, namely high-pressure water mist, which drastically cools the engine compartment (700ºC in 10 seconds), is much less aggressive and cleaner than other fire suppression agents, requires smaller quantities, effectively displaces oxygen, and insulates hot surfaces. The system operates 24/7, as it is fully autonomous and does not depend on the engine or electricity for automatic activation. It also incorporates acoustic and visual activation alarms so that the operator/driver is always informed of any incident in the system.
• Consulting on power transmission through our ARAHIDRA hydraulic couplings.
• Installation of systems at the client’s facilities, resulting in cost savings.
• Personalized and efficient after-sales service, both for maintenance inspections and for repairs carried out at our clients’ facilities, avoiding the need to move their vehicles/machines. We have a warehouse with sufficient stock of materials to shorten intervention times.
