PRODUCTS
MAGNA AUTOMOTIVE SPAIN together with Magna product development centers, design, engineer and work on the architecture of the vehicle by means of product, process, and material innovations that maximize weight saving, strength, and adaptability.
Underneath the exterior panels of every vehicle resides its structural backbone, including complex assemblies such as Cross Car Beam, upper body pillars and body side structures. Through the innovative use of advanced high strength materials and manufacturing processes, Magna continues to develop body structure solutions that meet or exceed customer specifications for weight and crash performance.
Body Exterior & Structures: designing and engineering vehicle architectures by means of product, process, and material innovations that maximize weight savings, strength and adaptability.
Power & Vision: Transforming the way vehicles move and interact with scalable propulsion, driver assistance systems, mechatronics and vision systems.
Seating Systems: innovating for a comfortable, safe and connected experience for all vehicle occupants with flexible configurations for every use and cargo need.
Complete Vehicles: delivering everything from concepts and systems to vehicle engineering and complete vehicle manufacturing for the industry´s leading makes.
TECHNOLOGY CAPABILITIES
Magna has taken an industry lead in incorporating the hot stamping forming process to body structure applications, especially in areas where vehicle crash performance must meet ever-increasing government standards. Hot stamping allows for the forming of complex part geometries, traditionally only achieved through the cold forming of mild steels. With hot stamping, the final part achieves ultra-high strength material properties.
In their facilities they are also capable of laser cutting complex 3D parts, manufacturing spot welding and MIG assemblies with more than 100 robots. The output can then be tested and measured in their fully functional laboratory.
